Short and long term leasing contracts are assigned through tenders conducted according to the Company’s internal regulation, national legislation ordinances and public contract principles. Privatisation procedures are pursued according to current legislation, governmental priorities and the nature of the asset in question (i.e. casinos)
Aiming to work in harmony with the local societies and respect environmental principles, the Company pursues public dialogue and cooperation with local communities and prioritizes the integration of environmental clauses in its tender announcements.
The Hellenic Tourism Development Co. is not strictly profit-driven, as it is interested in value-added development, management and exploitation of its assets to the benefit of the State, and requires provision of high quality services, and regular maintenance, so as to respond to the latest requirements of visitors.
Leasing terms relating to business activities as part of the asset development are agreed depending on the size and nature of the assets, the duration and objective of the lease as well as external impacting conditions.
